Heather Dickinson works in a variety of media and styles, wherever she is led by her creative muse, the Holy Spirit. Primary inspirations come from elements in the natural world: plants, stone, water, and metals. She returned to art in 2017, after a series of deep personal losses left her previous life in shambles; the art became a critical part of the rebuilding process. In 2019 at her lowest point, she devoted her life to Christ, and began the journey of learning how to be an artist in His Kingdom. In 2022 she returned to school and went on to finish her Masters degree in Humanities education (GCU 2024), receive two certificates in art ministry from Jessie Nilo’s school (God Loves Art 2023 and 2024), and another certificate from Cornell University's Botanical Illustration program (2024). She currently teaches art to Christian middle school and high school students, seeking to help them reconnect and develop their own unique creative spark.
Her work has previously been on display at the Columbia County Rural Library (Dayton WA), Combine Art Gallery (Walla Walla WA), the Pendleton Arts Center (Pendleton OR), and the Maryhill Museum of Art (Goldendale WA).
