the light, the shapes, the form…

Then moments stacked upon moments,
line upon line…

And your subject grows upon your paper.

Taking form.

It’s no small feat, distilling essence onto paper.

Pencil lead marks the miles
And then:

It looks back at you after so many days of you looking at it.

There’s still much more to this journey.

Paint must be mixed and applied,
Ink must be applied with a nib.

But there’s a joy, here,
In the pause before the finish.
