Take a peek in my journals for the last six months

It’s the end of the year, very likely one of the last posts I’ll make for 2024, and I thought you might like to see inside my journals for the last six months.

It’s pretty evident my ADHD tends to run wild and free; I have a very difficult time sticking with any one medium, style, or genre — offerings bounce between colored pencil, ink, ballpoint pen, and even gouache (it doesn’t bleed through the drawing paper I prefer, unlike its’ waterier cousin), from concept art to realism. Sometimes there’s scripture. Sometimes there’s poetry. Sometimes there’s random snippets of conversations I overhear while drawing (delightfully off the wall when coupled with the odd thought-visuals I sometimes entertain). As much as I’ve tried to corral my art into one direction, the truth is that it defies all attempts at domestication with a hearty laugh.
