Hello again and welcome to my sketchbook!
This month I’ve found enjoyment in imagining unusual cities based on odd land formations and other things in our world. I think January is a fine time for these kinds of flights of fancy — the weather is still (usually) cold and inclement, and outdoor explorations are at a minimum. On long, cold nights, it’s a good pastime to curl up with a hot cup of tea and “travel” elsewhere (take note, most of the landscapes are in more desert-like locations… a commentary, perhaps, on how I long for warmer days?).

Or, you may:
I'm in a snowdrop state of mind so seeing these here makes me really happy ❤️
“I remember getting lost in this game”—RIVEN! Sequel to Myst! I’d recognize that anywhere, one of the best jumpscares ive ever experienced. That room you sit in the chair and see a throne room, then you find the throne room, then you leave, then when you come back someone is sitting in the chair and you rush to the chair and no one is there.
Edit: “riven” is the name of a star system in the story i just published, and my “byron the blackpage” stories include world books—left a profound impression on me. What a cool surprise to see in your sketches!
